OUR manufacturing process

Step 1: Fresh Milk Collection

Every morning, fresh yak and cow milk is collected from free-roaming yaks and cows in the Himalayan highlands. These animals graze on wild grasses and medicinal herbs, making their milk rich in nutrients and protein.

Step 2: Heating & Stirring

The fresh milk is poured into large kettles and heated over a wood fire. Constant stirring ensures an even consistency while bringing out the natural flavors.

Step 3: Curdling with Lime Juice & Salt 🍋🧂

A small amount of lime juice and Himalayan salt is added to the milk, causing it to curdle naturally. This is a key step that turns the milk into thick cheese.

Step 4: Pressing & Shaping 📏

The cheese is poured into handmade molds, then tightly pressed to remove excess moisture. This gives the yak chew its signature firm texture and shape.

Step 5: Drying & Smoking

The pressed cheese blocks are dried and smoked for several weeks in special drying rooms. This process removes all moisture, hardens the chew, and enhances its natural flavor.

Step 6: Hand-Cutting & Quality Check

Once dried, each chew is hand-cut into different sizes and checked for quality, consistency, and safety—ensuring they’re perfect for dogs of all sizes!
